Agoniah’s Twist
Magical Item, Unique (requires attunement)
This strangely designed ring is somehow always cold to the touch. Even when you’ve been wearing it for hours, you can still feel a slight chill on your hand as though the ring wants to be sure you never forget that it’s there.
The ring is made up of a several, interlocking, broken circles and is made out of a strange, bright-silver metal with tiny, almost microscopic ripples in it.
SPECIAL PROPERTIES
The ring has a number of charges equal to your proficency bonus. All charges reset when you take a long rest. Alternately, you can convert spell slots into charges. You can expend a level-one spell slot to add one charge to the ring, a level-two spell slot for two charges, etc. The number of charges that you can add in this manner cannot exceed your proficienct bonus.
When you cast a spell, you can expend a number of charges to achieve one or more of the following effects:
Spell Texture. One Charge
Experienced practitioners of magic on ignus can tell whether a spell is cast using arcane, titanic, or primodial means. It’s been compared to sensing a flavor, texture, or smell. By expending a charge, you can change the texture of your spell to mimic the texture of another type of magic. For example, you could change an arcane spell to feel like it was a titanic spell. Or a titanic spell could be made to feel primordial.
Damage Type. Two Charges
By spending two charges, you can change the damage type of any spell that does elemental, radiant, or necrotic damage to any other type of elemental, radiant, or necrotic damage. For example, Fire Bolt, which obviously does fire damage, could be made to do radiant or thunder damage instead.
